Waxing Poetic
"That which we call a rose by any other name would smell as sweet."
~ Romeo and Juliet, William Shakespeare
It is raining today. A fresh kiss from the clouds is greatly appreciated in this dry region of the United States. Heavy and moist, the air smells of wet earth. The clouds are so low, I feel I could reach out and touch one. Droplets cling to the rosebush outside my window -- perfectly round globes of water. Birds expound their sweet melodies to the heavens.
Weather like this makes me wax poetic.

I love roses! Definitely on my favorite flower list! Raindrops on roses...makes me feel like singing and dancing around a big bed with a bunch of children...
And whisker on kittens... bright copper kettles and warm woolen mittens!
*whiskers
brown paper packages tied up with string...
Nice scholastic strength there, Carey. Seems I've seen that somewhere before.
*laughs* I can't imagine where.
Just beautiful, you never cease to impress me.
If weather like this brings out that beautiful side of you...I can only imagine what snowy yacky weather in Montreal will do to you!
I shall spout poetry and drive you crazy!
LOL
Maybe Montreal will inspire you to write a poetry book!
Sweet profile pic.
Sweet? lol, Thanks Jason.
Sarah, I have almost enough poetry to fill a book already. You can have the first copy, if I ever figure out how to approach publishing.
youpi!!!
purty flers!
No hablo Inglés. *laughs* Yes, they are pretty flowers.
Lol. Rain always makes me "wax poetical" also. And the first snow of the year *sighs*

Oh, I go crazy when it snows... of course, we only have a couple of "serious" snows down here if we're lucky. [serious snow: 2-3 inches]
Regarding your publishing question, here's a plan.
You send your portfolio to any publishing house of your choice, and see if they like it they'd be willing. Then you'd negotiate an agreement for splitting the profits. Before your anthropology hits the market, you can mount a PR event to publicize it, where the author (the humble you) will sign autographs to people like the rest of us.
Good idea, Leila. You can be my agent/secretary/editor. Sounds like you have some experience.
