Finally, A Day Off!

Yes, that's right folks -- I actually had a real day off! I slept in until the unheard hour of 10 AM and spent the remainder of the morning eating a nice breakfast and cleaning my rabbit's cage. I later rented Mr. and Mrs. Smith to watch with Mom -- complete with chocolate and Dr. Pepper.

Tonight, we went to our "fake" cousins' house for dinner. Hannah just returned from China last night, so she was really out of it before going to bed early. She brought home some very interesting food -- including yak jerky, seaweed snacks, dried squid, and yak butter tea. The yak jerky tastes like a combination of beef and tuna... fishy cow. Dried squid has this sweet, fishy taste with the consistency of a rubber band. The seaweed snacks were slightly spicy and very yummy. I polished off an entire package. The yak butter tea remains to be tasted -- the package is still sitting on my kitchen counter...

Sorry I had to turn in so early last night, but I feel so much better today as a result.
Actually, that wasn't squid. It's dried fish.
And the yak jerky was nasty, indeed. Congratulations on being brave enough to try it. It was a bit too stringy for my taste. The yak butter tea isn't too bad. It's somewhat similar to parmesan cheese in water. Happy eating!

That sounds absolutly abhorrent. parmesan cheese in water???

10am... Sounds like my entire past week.

Hey, don't apologize, Han. I totally understand. Jet-lag is not fun. So that was dried fish? Tasted like squid to me. Hmm... and actually, I liked the yak jerky. Was dipping it in the nacho sauce and grossing out our moms. LOL

Joy, I think we'll get along very well.

Robert... 10 am?? I've already been up for nearly 6 hours by that time. That would be too weird to wake up that late. Yes, I've tried the Berries n' Cream DP, but I still prefer the original... I'm a bit of a purist.

They're not FAKE, they're REAL cousins. You see, after you've been close friends for 10 years, you've officially sealed the relationship IN BLOOD! Right Hannah?

Maybe we need a ceremony? Kind of like a Court of Honor?

Ok, I was planning to call you anyway. Who's turn is it? I think it's my turn to call. Sometime around 7 (8 your time), maybe.

HURRAH!

Actually, it's eleven years, Mom. So, yeah, they are real cousins.

I think we should have some sort of ceremony that involves chanting and animal sacrifices...
