Easy to Please

When everyone in the family is sitting in the livingroom, choosing a television show can be difficult. Mom wants to watch an interior decorating show, David wants a science program, Jeremy prefers programs about animals, and Dad likes gardening shows. Me? I'm a little easier to please.

David grabs the remote and flips through the channel guide, stopping on a program called 'Planet Weather.' He then waits for a vote from the peanut gallery.

"That looks interesting," Mom comments.

Jeremy, with his extensive teenage-male vocabulary, grunts his approval.

"Isn't this the program with the cute Scottish host?" I inquire.

"Yeah."

"All right, then. Let's watch it!"

See? Easy to please. In all seriousness, it really is an interesting program. However, the host just makes it more interesting.

Carey, you're too funny.

Sounds like you have a lovely family though.

Now I know where the "Carey Charm" comes from ;)

Uuumm... yeah, my family is nice, but I'm not sure I'd use the word "lovely." *laughs* We're slightly dysfunctional, but love in each other (in our own strange ways).

I hope I don't sound too boy crazy, but as my mom says: "I'm not blind and I'm not dead."

Carey Charm... haha. Am I really charming? LOL, I could be Princess Charming!

Carey, you are very charming.

I hardly watch any television apart from the news. There is always something more interesting to do.

Every Blessing in Christ

Thanks, Sarah and Matthew.

The news is pretty much the only thing I watch (aside from the occasional travel show). I like to watch BBC World News in the wee hours of the morning before I take off for school and/or work.

Gah. Football, and the very occassional basketball game are about all I watch on TV. I used to watch Mythbusters on the discovery channel though.

What does the host have to do with the show????

The host has a lot to do with the show! The host will make or brake the show. Take Mythbusters, for instance - would the show be half as fun if say, Matthew hosted the show as opposed to Jamie and Adam? (Sorry, Matthew.)

lol, mythbusters is actually my favorite show.

Ya, good point. The host does make a difference on a show like that, but on a science program?

Actually, one host I hate is the guy that does "If walls could talk" on HGTV. I feel like I'm being conned.

The guys on Top Gear do good also.

I thought you said the guys on Top Gear were annoying because of their English accents, Robert...

Sarah, Mythbusters is one of my favourite shows... especially when they blow things up. Haha.

Gosh, you have a good memory.
However, I dislike certain aspects of the show, mainly because it's insane, and makes me jelous, how many expesive toys they get to play with.

The hosts accents don't bother me, at least not anymore.

Haha... yes, I do have an excellent memory. Just ask Jason.

Oh gosh, I hate the weather channel. My mum watches it 24/7. They play Christmas music every month of the year. Can you say...BORING? *sigh*

Yes, it is horrifically boring. The home and garden channel (HGTV) is also terribly boring. Like watching paint dry... oh wait, you are watching paint dry on that channel.
